stuck between a rock and a hard place = stuck between a bed and a couch 

I eat like a pig when i am hungry = I run like a snail, when i eat like a pig  

He runs like a snail 

The bed makes me tired = the bed makes me feel lazy, when i eat like pig 

the couch makes me lazy = the couch makes me tired, the bed makes me feel lazy 

slippery as black ice = stuck between a rock and black ice
